Do you think that your car-videogame idea would be good for training young drivers? My little sister just got her permit, and it's possible this would make things even easier for her. However, have you thought about the downsides? Would the controllers give you the same degree of steady, precision control that steering wheels do? Would the older generation accept this new method of navigation? Would it encourage people to drive wildly like they do in videogames?
Everything has its downside. The controller might not be good for older people. People are pretty smart these days. I don't think they will drive wildly on the streets because if they wanted to they could have done it in a regular car also. The controller can be improved to give a person accuracy and precision. It can be placed in a magnetic field and made stable.
Your idea of a computer generating your dreams is a neat one. I don't know how possible that is but it sounds cool. It's like inception except with just one person.
I think you lose all the precision of driving when you drive with a video game controller and it would further distract people from driving with all the buttons and it being a different layout than from what traditional cars are. You also lose the physical feedback of a traditional car like having to actually move your hands and feet and controlling their position.
I like the idea with a laptop+ a printer. Maybe, this is not the most creative idea, but it definitely useful. The technology is getter smaller and smaller, so i think that maybe in 5-7 years we could use such device designed by your company.
The new controller idea sounds interesting too. I'm not sure, but I think that you can control the angle of a direction only using one hand. Don't you think that it can be a bit dangerous?
I really like your programming dream idea, but the way you explained it is a little vague. If it were possible to create, would the dream that you get from the program incorporate your imagination so that you yourself are creating the dream but getting guidelines from the program, or is it like a movie in that the program itself creates what the dream looks like and just makes you see it?
The video game- car idea is interesting as well, However, instead of an Xbox or PS3 controller, why not let it be a wii controller? That way, the controls would be more similar to actual driving, since the wii controller is movement-sensitive.
